Press release: Cambodia and Japan exchange views on cultural cooperation and multilateral engagement
On 24 December 2025, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Japan issued a press release on the meeting between Cambodia and Japan to exchange views on cultural cooperation and multilateral engagement.
During the meeting, the Cambodian Ambassador highlighted the close and longstanding cooperation between Cambodia and Japan within UNESCO, particularly under the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, and reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to promoting cultural diversity, community-based safeguarding, and effective multilateral cooperation.
